This hike encompasses greenspaces and forests, as well as suburban streets, to make the loop. Well visit the gardens at Luscher Farms, which includes Rogerson Clematis Garden and the Organic Demonstration Garden, with many colorful blooms, especially dahlias, zinnias and sunflowers, as well as the whimsical scarecrows exhibiting a variety of sartorial tastes posed throughout. From there, well walk through a meadow and then head up the slopes of Cooks Buttea Boring volcano. Then we will complete the loop by descending the Butte on neighborhood streets.
After the hike, we will have lunch at the Cask and Keg Public House in West Linn. Bring a snack and water. Sturdy hiking shoes and trekking poles, if you use them, are recommended.
