This is a 4.3-mile loop walk that will take us through North Portlands lovely and racially diverse Concordia neighborhood, home to Fernhill Park, Ainsworth Linear Arboretum, and Concordia University, and on into the adjoining Vernon neighborhood with its classic Alberta Park and hundred-year-old homes. The walk starts and ends at the decommissioned Kennedy School, which was built in 1915 and remodeled into a McMenamin brothers restaurant and hotel in 1997. We will have lunch and tour the Kennedy School, with its reproductions of 15th century Florentine art, after the walk. Bring water and snacks and wear comfortable walking or hiking shoes.

This round-trip, approximately 5.2-mile hike will begin at the West Linn Adult Community Center on Rosemont Road and go to Luscher Farm at the corner of Rosemont Road and Stafford Road.
Rosemont Trail follows along Rosemont Road, offset from the road by varying distances. The trail is paved all the way, with no impediments, and is wide enough to easily allow two hikers to walk side-by-side all the way, i.e., making it easy to visit with fellow hikers during the trek.
The trail abuts West Linn city limits shortly before entering the rural Stafford area. After leaving West Linn city limits, the trail passes a former Street of Dreams development in the near distance, the Oswego Hills winery, and the beautiful rural areas of Stafford, turning around at Luscher Farm community gardens, which are open to the public and have a port-a-potty available and an open farmhouse to visit.
We will have lunch afterwards at McMenamins in West Linn. Wear comfortable walking or hiking shoes and bring water and snacks.
Note: Hikers should meet at Gresham City Hall at 9:00 am and sign in with Doug and Dana Duval. David and Becky will meet the group at the West Linn Adult Community Center, where restroom facilities are available.
For more information about this hike please contact David or Becky Tripp at 503-655-0465 or dtripp8785@comcast.net.
