Join us for a tour of the night sky where you'll whiz through universe from the comfort of your seat! There are three shows this evening, with start times at 6:00PM, 7:15PM and 8:30PM.

The Mt. Hood Community College (MHCC) Planetarium opens the year with more great public shows, a move to a new night and a state-of-the-art digital star projection system.

Each show is presented under a realistic representation of the night sky, featuring the latest galactic, stellar and planetary images. Guests are encouraged to ask questions during each program. Children are welcome to attend.

Let's Go Walking! When: Thu Jun 05, 2014 8:30AM-5PM Where: Steigerwald Wildlife Refuge Meet at: Gresham City Hall 1333 NW Eastman Pwy Gresham, OR Get Map!

This approximately 3.5-mile hike starts at Steigerwald Refuge, which is at the west end of the Columbia River Gorge near Washougal, Wash. We will hike one spur of the refuge trail, then go east along the dike, and return to our vehicles via the other section of the refuge trail. After our hike we will travel back down Highway 14 a couple of miles for lunch at the Captain William Clark Park, where there are picnic facilities. Bring water and snacks for the along trail and a sack lunch to eat at the park. Wear comfortable walking shoes.

Join us on another great Ten Toe Express walk throughout inner-city Portland sponsored by the Portland Bureau of Transportation. The Ten Toe Express program is a series of guided walks held Thursdays @ 6PM and Saturdays @ 9AM from May 10th through September 28th 2013.

Each easy and informal Ten Toe Express walk explores the area neighborhood, architecture and unique history. Walk takes about 2 hours, cover 2-4 miles and are open to all ages and skill levels. Did we mention it's free!

Kid's Helmet Giveaway! When: Sat May 10, 2014 9AM-2PM Where: NW Miller & Third St Historic Downtown Gresham, OR Get Map!

Look for the Transportation Planning booth at the Gresham Farmers Market from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Gresham is partnering with the Oregon Nurses Association to provide free children's bike helmets and bike safety information. Helmets are limited to stock on hand, and children need to be present to be fit.
