You know the old saying, "spring ahead, fall back"...
Set your clocks ahead 1 hour Sunday 2AM
It's time to spring ahead!
Daylight saving time 2012 officially begins this Sunday, March 10 at 2:00AM (local time) -- remember to set your clocks ahead one hour to 3:00AM when you go to bed Saturday night.
It's also the perfect time to install a fresh battery in your smoke detectors.
About Daylight Saving Time
Daylight saving time (DST) — aka summer time is the practice of temporarily advancing clocks during the summertime so that afternoons have more daylight and mornings have less. Clocks are adjusted forward one hour near the start of spring and are adjusted backward in autumn.
Most of the United States and Canada observe DST beginning the second Sunday in March and ending the first Sunday in November -- almost two-thirds of the year.

Community Forum
You're invited to attend a community forum for the Central Rockwood Plan Update. This project is intended to ensure the community’s vision for Rockwood can be achieved, and that the rules in place are not a barrier to the desired urban form. The forum will introduce the project, share identified issues, and ask for input on additional issues to study.
Your input is invaluable since you have unique expertise in how the community operates, where improvements may be made, and what is currently working well.

As winter draws near, many residents, both homeowners and renters, will be facing a chilly indoors, coupled with higher energy bills. As utility customers and taxpayers, they are financially supporting a variety of energy efficiency programs that could assist them, and yet they may be unaware of these opportunities. The City of Gresham is offering free energy efficiency information fairs, to raise awareness in the community about the benefits of energy conservation and the opportunities to increase energy efficiency in one's home. Regardless of whether one owns or rents, lives in a single family home, mobile home, apartment or condominium, there are no cost, low cost and advanced energy efficiency opportunities and incentives available.
