GRESHAM -- Multnomah County should phase out business-income tax revenues it now shares with Gresham and use the money to help pay for a mental health crisis triage center, county Commissioner Lisa Naito has proposed in a self-described "provocative" memo to her board colleagues.

  • Brian Heerwagen called to order the annual meeting of the Wilkes neighborhoods Association meeting at 7:05 pm on Monday, August 27 at St. Aidan’s Episcopal Church, 17405 NE Glisan Street, Portland, Oregon.

Fraud Alert: Home Alarm Sales

Beware: Door-to-Door Home Alarm sales

Wilkes East resident Wayne Palmiter reported Aug 7th, 2007 a woman was in the Capri Terrace neighborhood canvassing for possible Alarm sites. The women claimed to be a representative of Honeywell Alarm Systems Division. When contacted Honeywell said "they do not do business in the way the woman described."

The August 8th
Coalition of Gresham Neighborhood Associations meeting focused on gathering Neighborhood Association’s input for the new budget cycle. Nikki Peterson, Budget Division Manager explored ideas with the group on ways to increase citizen participation and input. If you'd like a speaker for your group on this subject you may contact Ms Peterson at City Hall (503) 618-2428.
