Newsletters are a regular publication of the Wilkes East Neighborhood Association. They are hand-delivered to over 1,500 residences and businesses in our area 3 times per year, timed to correspond with our general meetings.

Wilkes East residents are encouraged to submit articles and tips for the newsletter. Articles should be limited to 300-400 words and may be subject to editing. Include a related photo. Send by email to chair@wilkeseastna.org, or by postal mail to: 17104 NE Oregon St • Portland OR 97230.
Volunteers Needed
Newsletters are hand-delivered to Wilkes East residents and businesses by neighborhood volunteers. There are always routes that need delivery people. Routes are small and many. We can always use your help. To volunteer contact chair@wilkeseastna.org.

Join us for a free document shredding and block Styrofoam recycling event. This is a drive-through, drop-and-go service with a limit of two grocery sized bags per vehicle.
To testify during a Council meeting, provide testimony in writing to City Recorder Susanjoy Wright at Susanjoy.Wright@GreshamOregon.gov 24 hours before the meeting to allow the testimony to be forwarded to the City Council.
If you're unable to provide written comments in advance, notify the City Recorder at 503-618-2697 24 hours in advance of the meeting so we can provide alternate arrangements.

How to provide testimony
To testify during a Transportation Subcommittee meeting, provide testimony in writing 24 hour before the meeting to Jay.Higgins@GreshamOregon.gov to allow the testimony to be forwarded to the Transportation Subcommittee.
If you are unable to provide written comments in advance, or are unable to access the meeting via Zoom, notify Jay Higgins 24 hours before the meeting so we can provide alternate arrangements.
General meeting information
The Transportation Subcommittee advises City Council on the ongoing development of a transportation network to improve the safety and livability of Gresham. The committee discusses transportation and traffic issues, federal, state and local policies and standards, plans and capital programs, and guides Council in transportation planning matters.
To protect public health, safety, and welfare during the COVID-19 pandemic, the Parks and Recreation Community Advisory Committee will meet remotely at 6:00 pm, via Zoom on the first Thursday of the month. Zoom instructions are listed in the Gresham Parks and Recreation Community Advisory Committee agenda.

About the committee
The purpose of the Gresham Parks & Recreation Community Advisory Group is to bring together a diverse group of community members and City representatives for a limited duration to evaluate Gresham.s Parks & Recreation services and recommend strategies to improve community outcomes.

The City's business hours are Monday through Friday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm.
One (1) business day advance registration is required to provide written or oral testimony at the meeting.
Two (2) business days advance notice is required to request alternate arrangements to access the meeting if you are unable to access the meeting via Zoom
Three (3) business days advance notice is required to request translation services for the meeting.
