The Coalition of Gresham Neighborhood Associations was formed to provide structure and support for the leadership of Gresham's neighborhood associations, enabling more effective cooperation among neighborhood associations in order to achieve desired outcomes. Goals of the Coalition include providing a public forum for the review and evaluation of issues and problems, providing education and information on specific areas such as land use, and providing a unified voice for the neighborhood associations.

The Coalition meets monthly on the second Tuesday at 7:00PM

The Youth Advisory Committee is composed of students from all Gresham-area high schools. Their primary focus is to ensure Gresham youth are engaged locally and that their voices are heard at the City.

Learn step-by-step how to plan, design and build your own rain garden. Topics include determining the right size and location for a rain garden, how to build it and advice on choosing plants that will thrive in it.

Everything Bikes! When: Sat May 14, 2016 9AM-2:30PM Where: The Arts Plaza 401 N.E. Second St. Gresham, OR Get Map!

Take some time to learn about all the great transportation options in Gresham. Stop by our Transportation Safety Fair and Bike Rodeo at the Arts Plaza in Downtown Gresham (401 N.E. Second Street) on Saturday, May 14, from 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Visit our bicycle safety booths and pick up a free bicycle helmet and no-charge booster seat to qualifying families (children need to be present and helmets and seats are limited to supplies on hand). Learn to combine your bicycle trips with bus or MAX rides. Bring your bike to participate in a bike rodeo to learn and practice the rules of the road. A 2 p.m. raffle drawing will be held to giveaway a childs bike.

Middle school and high school youth can attend free basketball practice, skill building and game play on Saturday nights at Friends of the Children at 424 NE 172nd Ave.

• Open to boys and girls in grades 6-12
• Learn new skills, make new friends, play basketball.
• Adult supervision and mentorship provided by the Portland Opportunities Industrialization Center (POIC).
• Sponsored by the City of Gresham.

Schedule:

• 8-10 p.m. for grades 6-8
• 10 p.m. - 12 a.m. for grades 9-12

GRDC meetings allow necessary Rockwood-West Gresham Urban Renewal business to be dealt with, such as budget adoption, grant awards, public hearings, resolutions, etc.
