Participate in Bike-to-Work Day on Friday, May 20 between 6:30 and 8:30 a.m. Just stop by one of these three bike appreciation stations and receive a free breakfast treat:

• Main City Park at Springwater Corridor Trail Head
• Springwater Corridor at Gresham-Fairview Trail near S.W. Pleasant View Drive
• Glisan Street near ON Semiconductor entrance

Middle school and high school youth can attend free basketball practice, skill building and game play on Friday nights at H.B. Lee Middle School, 1121 NE 172nd Ave.

• Open to boys and girls in grades 6-12
• Learn new skills, make new friends, play basketball.
• Adult supervision and mentorship provided by the Portland Opportunities Industrialization Center (POIC).
• Sponsored by the City of Gresham.

Schedule:

• 6-8 p.m. for grades 6-8
• 8-10 p.m. for grades 9-12

Let's Go Bike Riding! When: Sat May 21, 2016 10AM-12PM Where: Main City Park (starting point) Gresham, OR Get Map!

Join your friends and neighbors for a slow-paced, familyfriendly ride. This free ride will be a 10-mile+ out and back loop using the Springwater Corridor to the west. This ride allows you to ride all or any part that you are comfortable with and is open to all levels of riders. Meet at 9:45 a.m. in the parking lot at Main City Park, near the Springwater Trail. The ride will leave at 10 a.m. and will return to the same location in Main City Park a couple of hours later. Bike helmets are required.

A delightful 1874 Victorian farmhouse
Take a step back into history at the Zimmerman House, a Victorian era farmhouse, built in 1874 and listed on the National Register of Historic Places. This beautiful farmhouse is a perfect reflection of typical Columbia River dairy farm life in the late 1800s. The Zimmerman Heritage Farm is a unique cultural education and recreational resource that is being created for the benefit of the public on a 5.98-acre historic site in Gresham, Oregon.

Get Involved, Make A Difference When: Sun May 22, 2016 10AM-1PM Where: Main City Park (starting point) Gresham, OR Get Map!

Join experienced riders at Gresham's Main City Park (parking lot) on Sunday, May 22 at 10 a.m. on Main Avenue near the Springwater Corridor in downtown Gresham. This is moderately paced ride for experienced riders, lead by Ken Dennis. Well explore the area between the Gresham/Troutdale/ Sandy River area and East Portland. Traveling along at around 15 mph for a distance of approximately 25+ miles, the group will take a break along the route where food or drinks may be purchased, if desired. The riders will return to the starting location sometime after noon. Bike helmets are required.

Council Roundtable meetings are informal sessions for Councilors to discuss issues of interest on a monthly basis. Council members suggest their own agenda for the meetings, leaving enough time for open, informal dialogue. No public comment is taken during these meetings.
