The City's Middle Housing Project team is seeking your feedback on draft regulations for middle housing developments. Come learn how earlier community feedback has helped in designing the draft standards and learn how they will be used to shape housing options throughout Gresham.
Gresham's Middle Housing project includes code changes that will allow more types of housing in residential neighborhoods, increasing housing choices for current and future residents. The City is undertaking the project to comply with new rules from the State (House Bill 2001), which require Gresham and other large cities to allow duplexes on every lot where a single detached dwelling is allowed, and to allow triplexes, quadplexes, townhouses, and cottage clusters in areas zoned for residential uses that allow for single detached dwellings.
Thank you to everyone that participated in the March Middle Housing survey and virtual event. Your input has been invaluable in identifying priorities and developing design concepts for future middle housing. A summary of community comments will be posted on the project page.
