Learn to create a low-maintenance landscape that conserves water, prevents pollution, and saves you time, money and energy. Get natural gardening & design tips that mimic nature, and make your garden a healthy place for children, pets and wildlife. Class covers native plants that thrive in the Pacific Northwest, and other core naturescaping concepts. Where possible, workshop includes a short tour of a nearby garden. This class is free and everyone is welcome to attend.

Take some time to learn about all the great transportation options in Gresham. Stop by our Transportation Safety Fair and Bike Rodeo at the Arts Plaza in Downtown Gresham (401 N.E. Second Street) on Saturday, May 14, from 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Visit our bicycle safety booths and pick up a free bicycle helmet and no-charge booster seat to qualifying families (children need to be present and helmets and seats are limited to supplies on hand). Learn to combine your bicycle trips with bus or MAX rides. Bring your bike to participate in a bike rodeo to learn and practice the rules of the road. A 2 p.m. raffle drawing will be held to giveaway a childs bike.
