A delightful 1874 Victorian farmhouse
Take a step back into history at the Zimmerman House, a Victorian era farmhouse, built in 1874 and listed on the National Register of Historic Places. This beautiful farmhouse is a perfect reflection of typical Columbia River dairy farm life in the late 1800s. The Zimmerman Heritage Farm is a unique cultural education and recreational resource that is being created for the benefit of the public on a 5.98-acre historic site in Gresham, Oregon.

This group bike ride for experienced riders will meet in Main City Park at the Springwater Corridor junction and departs at 10 a.m. on Sunday, May 17. Join other experienced riders on a 30-mile ride in the Gresham/Troutdale/Sandy River area (see route map). The group will take a break along the route where food or drinks may be purchased.

Each child participating will receive a rainbow hand kite, balloon, lei, t-shirt, backpack and a book!

This will be a five-mile hike in the Columbia River Gorge east of White Salmon, Wash. We should see wildflowers and beautiful views of the river and mountains. Please bring lunch to eat on the trail. There is a new trailhead here, with ample parking and restrooms. You will need hiking boots and long pants, as there are ticks and poison oak along the trail. Walking poles are also recommended.
- Round-trip travel: 120 miles
- Difficulty: Strenuous
- Elevation gain: 1,200 feet
- Suggested donation per hiker: $12

Let's Celebrate!
Join us for the official opening of Gresham's newest natural play area and community garden on the south two acres of Nadaka Nature Park. The Audubon Society of Portland’s Education Birds will be present and teaming up with Slough School to provide environmental education. Nature play expert from ONPLAY will be demonstrating the possibilities the nature play area can provide. Public officials and project partners will be there to say a few words about Nadaka.
The event will feature free information, demonstrations and refreshments.

Join us for a tour of the night sky where you'll whiz through universe from the comfort of your seat! 3 shows starting at 6:00PM, 7:15PM and 8:30PM.
The Mt. Hood Community College (MHCC) Planetarium invites you enjoy another year of great public shows using their state-of-the-art digital star projection system.
Each show is presented under a realistic representation of the night sky, featuring the latest galactic, stellar and planetary images. Visitors are encouraged to ask questions during each program. Children are welcome to attend.

This 3.5-mile hike begins at Holland America Bulb Farms in Woodland, Wash. We'll follow a dike trail above the farmland and the East Fork of the Lewis River. We will stop for a break at a boat launch before walking through the colorful tulip display garden. On our way to lunch at a local restaurant, we'll stop to tour the Hulda Klager Lilac Gardens (there is a $2 admission fee). Dress for the weather and bring water and a snack
