Volunteers Needed
Newsletters are hand-delivered to Wilkes East residents and businesses by neighborhood volunteers. There are always routes that need delivery people. Routes are small and many. We can always use your help.

The City will hold its annual recycling event in celebration of Earth Day. This event is free to Gresham and Wood Village residents (businesses may only participate in recycling fluorescents).

Items that can be recycled or donated

Volunteer

We are also looking for volunteers for this year's event. Tasks may include directing traffic, handing out flyers, unloading materials from automobiles and sorting materials. Sign up to volunteer.

There are two shows at this evening's show, with start times at at 6:00 pm and 7:15 pm.

This show will be presented in the Mt. Hood Community College (MHCC) Planetarium Sky Theater, located beneath the library on the Gresham campus, 26000 SE Stark St. All shows are presented under a realistic representation of the night sky, featuring the latest galactic, stellar and planetary images.

The Sky Theater is wheelchair accessible.

Admission fees:

  • General public $5
  • MHCC students $2 with valid ID
  • Children 17 and under $2

Join the City of Gresham, Audubon Backyard Habitat certification staff, and the East Multnomah Soil and Water Conservation District to share bulbs, seeds, and cuttings with your neighbors.

  • Free native plants from the City of Gresham stormwater program
  • Experts will help identify plants and ensure that overly aggressive/invasive/noxious weeds are not shared
  • Free refreshments

Do you have travel plans? Do you wish you had travel plans? Take the first step and apply for your U.S. Passport! You may have heard the buzz the U.S. Department of State is increasing processing fees from $25 to $35 to apply for passports beginning April 2. The City is offering an opportunity on Saturday, March 10 to submit your application.

Get ahead of the price hike and bring the family. Make sure you bring all the required documents and checks or money orders with you. Visit GreshamOregon.gov/Passports for detailed information on required documents and fees. You may also call 503-618-2460 if you have additional questions.

Applications will be processed on a first-come, first-served basis and event will promptly close at 1:00 pm. Be sure youre here early and have all required documents and fees with you.

The 2018 State of the City Address will be a luncheon co-hosted by the Gresham Area Chamber of Commerce.

Lunch reservations ($25 each) and free seat reservations (no lunch included) are available.
