Join your friends and neighbors for a slow-paced, familyfriendly ride. This free ride will be a 10-mile+ out and back loop using the Springwater Corridor to the west. This ride allows you to ride all or any part that you are comfortable with and is open to all levels of riders. Meet at 9:45 a.m. in the parking lot at Main City Park, near the Springwater Trail. The ride will leave at 10 a.m. and will return to the same location in Main City Park a couple of hours later. Bike helmets are required.

Join us on another great Ten Toe Express walk throughout inner-city Portland sponsored by the Portland Bureau of Transportation. The Ten Toe Express program is a series of guided walks held Thursdays @ 6PM and Saturdays @ 9AM from May 7th through September 10th 2016.
Each easy and informal Ten Toe Express walk explores the area neighborhood, architecture and unique history. Walk takes about 2 hours, cover 2-4 miles and are open to all ages and skill levels. Did we mention it's free!

Join experienced riders at Gresham's Main City Park (parking lot) on Sunday, May 22 at 10 a.m. on Main Avenue near the Springwater Corridor in downtown Gresham. This is moderately paced ride for experienced riders, lead by Ken Dennis. Well explore the area between the Gresham/Troutdale/ Sandy River area and East Portland. Traveling along at around 15 mph for a distance of approximately 25+ miles, the group will take a break along the route where food or drinks may be purchased, if desired. The riders will return to the starting location sometime after noon. Bike helmets are required.

This 5-mile hike near Welches parallels the Salmon River, goes through an old growth forest with 10-foot-thick red cedars, and leads to small sandy beaches with deep green pools.
Round-trip travel: 66 miles
Suggested donation per rider: $8
Difficulty: Easy/Moderate
Elevation Gain: 200 feet
The grades are easy; stairways climb the few hills and rustic bridges cross a string of tiny streams along the way.
Hiking boots are recommended. Bring a lunch to eat along the trail. A National Forest Recreation Pass (or Senior Pass) is required to park at the trailhead.
Senior Healthy Hikers asks participants be age 50 or older. A couple may hike if one member is 50 or better.
Pets are not permitted on hikes or walks.

Stop by and visit our new neighbor, Bikes for Humanity, PDX, on Wednesday, May 25 from 3 to 7 p.m. They are opening a Bike Donation Center in Main City Park (near Springwater Trail) to teach Gresham residents how to repair and overhaul bicycles. This non-profit group takes in donated bicycles and parts and volunteers refurbish the bikes to make them affordable to riders of all economic backgrounds. Come by and learn about the programs and projects. Clean out your garage and bring your old bikes; bike donations will be accepted at this event. A raffle drawing for a free childs bicycle will be held at 6:30 p.m.
