Join the Gresham Planning Commission for cookies and conversation as we discuss roads in your neighborhood, sidewalks, and how e-scooters and rideshares might change our community. Presentations on the topics below will be followed by interactive small group discussions.

• Roads and sidewalks: Find out what's going on at the intersection of Palmquist and Highway 26, and other transportation projects.
• E-scooters, ride shares and delivery at your doorstep: How emerging technologies can affect Gresham.
• Planning 101: How do we get around, and where will we work and live once we get there? The scoop on how your Planning Department and Planning Commission are working to make Gresham a livable community.
• What can you do: Share your thoughts and learn more about volunteering at the City.

The Design Commission is the primary advising subcommittee to the City Council on design excellence for the built environment of the city. The Commission assists in the development and application of design standards and guidelines, and will conduct hearings as necessary to ensure that proposed public and private projects achieve these standards.

Let's Go Walking! When: Thu, Nov 07, 2019 9AM-5PM Where: Meet at Gresham City Hall 1333 NW Eastman Pky Get Map!

• Difficulty: Easy
• Elevation gain: 300 feet
• Trail conditions: Paved
• Round-trip travel: 42 miles
• Suggested donation per rider: $5

From the parking lot we will head into the woods several dog firs, big leaf maples, and western hemlock. There are wooden steps to a boardwalk down to Turkey Creek. We will go along the Willamette River to a floating bridge to Cedar Island. We will be having lunch at the Linn City Pub across the street.

Bring water and snacks for the trail. Comfortable walking shoes are recommended.
