Neighborhood Coalition Meeting Held: Aug 8


The August 8th
Coalition of Gresham Neighborhood Associations meeting focused on gathering Neighborhood Association’s input for the new budget cycle. Nikki Peterson, Budget Division Manager explored ideas with the group on ways to increase citizen participation and input. If you'd like a speaker for your group on this subject you may contact Ms Peterson at City Hall (503) 618-2428.

This Wilkes East Neighborhood website banner is a slice from a picture taken on a hot August afternoon while strolling the trail along the Columbia Slough adjacent to the northern boundary of the neighborhood. The Columbia Slough is a shallow, slow flowing waterway that parallels the Columbia River for about 18 miles from Fairview Lake in East Multnomah County through North and Northeast Portland to Kelley Point Park where the Slough meets the Willamette River. And now you know.

Neighborhood Clean-up Huge Success!

On July 14, 2007, residents of Wilkes East came together to tidy up their homes. The three hour event resulted in two industrial sized (40 cubic yard) dumpsters being filled to capacity!
