Join us to discuss how the City can add a process to its Development Code by which long-term, phased Institutional Master Plans can be reviewed and approved.
Master plans are a tool many jurisdictions use for larger developments. The Development Code defines a master plan as a "development plan for multiple projects to be built in two or more phases. A master plan may involve multiple blocks provided that the blocks are contiguous.
The Institutional Master Plan component of the Development Code Improvement Project, which is on the Council Work Plan, will:
- Describe and analyze the current master plan Code provisions
- Determine opportunities to add a master plan process for institutional uses
- Review alternatives and develop a preferred approach
- Produce Development Code amendments to create an Institutional Master Plan process and standards for that process
Public involvement is welcome and input and ideas will be incorporated into the project.
