Project Receives Award

The City has been awarded the Oregon Chapter of the American Planning Association’s (OAPA) Professional Achievement in Planning Award for the Residential Districts Review project.

This award recognizes a planning project of exceptional merit. The Residential Districts Review was a Council Work Plan project that established two new land use districts, promoted residential lot size compatibility and ensured residential density was located in appropriate locations. The project also created an innovative housing demonstration project code.

We would like to thank all those who participated in the project for their ideas and input. Your involvement truly improved the results.

A brief award recognition is scheduled for the 3PM July 20, 2010 during the City Council meeting at City Hall.
