Happy Birthday, Gresham!
Gresham became a city 108 years ago on Feb. 11, 1905. Gresham's rich past, from the Gresham Berry Growers Cannery to Camp Ground, is told through historic photos on the City's website. Read more
Gresham Honored for Excellence and Innovation
The City and Veolia Water North America received a national award from the U.S. Conference of Mayors for working together to improve the community. The City and Veolia are honored for energy conservation measures at the wastewater treatment plant that save $23,000 monthly. Read more
What Bird is Singing?: Mar 05
Learn to identify our year-round feathered residents and the spring migrants arriving in yards and parks. Metro expert James Davis will teach how to identify common song birds by sight and song. This free Spring Bird ID class is from 7-9:30 p.m. Tuesday, March 5. Read more
Renewable Energy Open House: Feb 21
The City would like your input in reviewing the draft Code for where and how renewable energy facilities should be allowed in Gresham. This includes solar and wind turbine stations. Attend from 6-7:30 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 21. Read more
Groundbreaking Event, Rockwood Safety Facility: Mar 07
Join Mayor Bemis and Police Chief Craig Junginger to mark the start of construction on the Rockwood Public Safety Facility from 11 a.m. to noon Thursday, March 7, at 675 NE 181 Ave. The new building will allow Gresham Police to provide enhanced service to Rockwood and will include a community meeting space. Earth Day Collection Event Needs Volunteers: Apr 20
The City is looking for 30-40 volunteers for the Earth Day Recycling Collection Event on April 20. Tasks include directing traffic, passing out flyers, unloading materials from cars and sorting materials. Read more
Passport Day in the USA: Mar 09
City Hall is participating in Passport Day in the USA and will be open for passport acceptance only from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, March 9. We will be accepting passport applications and providing passport information. Read more
Private Property Towing Reminder
Did you know the City has a process for citizens to file a complaint in connection with a private property impound if the resident believes a vehicle was wrongfully towed or overcharged? City Council passed an ordinance in 2011 regulating towing vehicles parked on private property. Read more
