Help Finish the Gresham-Fairview Trail
The City needs your help to win a $550,000 grant that would help us complete the design for the final two phases of the Gresham-Fairview Trail and its connection to Marine Drive and the 40-Mile Loop on the Columbia River. Comment via survey by Jan. 31. Your support is critical. Take survey!
Food Trucks? Fruit Stands? Have Your Say
Attend a community forum 7 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 29, to discuss potential rule changes for food and beverage carts and temporary uses (such as farmers’ markets, carnivals, commercial stands and fruit stands). The changes address issues such as where they can be located and how they look. Read more
Save Money on Energy
Tired of being chilly in your own home? Come to the City's free “$ave Energy Fair” on Saturday, Jan. 26, to learn about the variety of energy efficiency programs available to you. Read more
Winter Garbage Service
Inclement weather may occasionally affect garbage, recycling and yard debris pickup, but service is resumed as soon as possible. Read more
Questions About Police, Fire and Parks Fee?
People with questions about the temporary Police, Fire and Parks Fee going into effect Feb. 1 may visit GreshamOregon.gov/InvestGresham to find information, including how low-income residents can qualify for fee-related financial assistance, or contact Ann Travers, Utility Billing, 503-618-2372.
Rockwood Community Forum Planned
A community forum for the Central Rockwood Plan starts at 6 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 22. The project’s purpose is to ensure the community’s vision for Rockwood can be achieved and Development Code rules are not a barrier to the development of the housing, businesses and open spaces envisioned. Read more
Development Code Improvement Project Hearing
A hearing for the Classifying Uses component of the City’s Development Code Improvement Project is 6:30 p.m. Monday, Jan. 28. The project recommends some uses no longer be allowed in certain areas because the use is not compatible with the nature of the area (i.e. a theme park in a residential neighborhood). Read more
City Hosts CPR Training
Would you like to learn CPR from a firefighter? Gresham Fire is offering American Heart Association CPR/AED (automated external defibrillator) training on Saturday, Feb. 8. Seats are limited. Register to attend
City Flushing Water System
Public works crews are flushing water pipes through May to remove built-up sediments that settle in waterlines over time. Signs in the neighborhood will let you know in advance when flushing is coming, and our website is updated daily with the flushing schedule. Read more
