Rare Transit of Mercury Across the Sun!
Join us for a tour of the night sky where you'll whiz through universe from the comfort of your seat! 2 shows starting at 6:00PM, 7:15PM.
The Mt. Hood Community College (MHCC) Planetarium invites you enjoy another year of great public shows using their state-of-the-art digital star projection system.
Each show is presented under a realistic representation of the night sky, featuring the latest galactic, stellar and planetary images. Visitors are encouraged to ask questions during each program. Children are welcome to attend.

Join City staff and volunteers for an organized ride to Dexter McCarty Middle School. The group will meet at the Gresham Arts Plaza (488 NE 3rd, Downtown Gresham) on Wednesday, May 4 at 9 a.m. All students who walk, bike or skate to school are eligible for prizes. Parents and children ages 2-5 are invited to enjoy a short story, craft and guided nature hike at Nadaka Nature Park. Watch birds fly overhead, search for hidden animal homes and learn about local trees and flowers.
This event will take place rain or shine, so pull on those boots and join us.
There is a $3 suggested donation per child; no charge for adults at time of event.

Middle school and high school youth can attend free basketball practice, skill building and game play on Friday nights at H.B. Lee Middle School, 1121 NE 172nd Ave.
- Open to boys and girls in grades 6-12
- Learn new skills, make new friends, play basketball.
- Adult supervision and mentorship provided by the Portland Opportunities Industrialization Center (POIC).
- Sponsored by the City of Gresham.
Schedule:
- 6-8 p.m. for grades 6-8
- 8-10 p.m. for grades 9-12

Join us on another great Ten Toe Express walk throughout inner-city Portland sponsored by the Portland Bureau of Transportation. The Ten Toe Express program is a series of guided walks held Thursdays @ 6PM and Saturdays @ 9AM from May 7th through September 10th 2016.
Each easy and informal Ten Toe Express walk explores the area neighborhood, architecture and unique history. Walk takes about 2 hours, cover 2-4 miles and are open to all ages and skill levels. Did we mention it's free!
