Through a partnership with the Oregon Food Bank, the SUN Program at Highland Elementary School provides free fruits and vegetables to the community on the second and fourth Wednesday of the month. Everyone in the community is invited to shop at the market and receive free produce -- there are no income verification or identification requirements. Bring reusable shopping bags if you have them!

Creating a Win-Win OutcomeWhen: Tue May 19, 2015 6PM-8PM |
Through understanding interests and positions, this free two-hour training will build on participants' knowledge of negotiation and how to utilize interests to create a win-win outcome. Participants will be actively engaged throughout the training with the help of experts, who will provide coaching through hands-on practice.

Are you coming out to the Rock the Block Kids Parade on Saturday, May 30th at noon? Special guests include Multnomah County Commissioner Loretta Smith, author Mitchell Jackson, SEI Drumline and Dancers, Rojo and Smokey the Therapy Llamas, Portland Farmers Mobile Bike Market and many more! Each child participating will receive a rainbow hand kite, balloon, lei, t-shirt, backpack and a book!

Join us for a tour of the night sky where you'll whiz through universe from the comfort of your seat! 3 shows starting at 6:00PM, 7:15PM and 8:30PM.
The Mt. Hood Community College (MHCC) Planetarium invites you enjoy another year of great public shows using their state-of-the-art digital star projection system.
Each show is presented under a realistic representation of the night sky, featuring the latest galactic, stellar and planetary images. Visitors are encouraged to ask questions during each program. Children are welcome to attend.

Like to garden, but no place to grow? Reserve Your SpotNadaka Nature Park community gardens will be open in time for the 2015 gardening season! |
Hurry before they're gone!
The City of Gresham's community garden program is pleased to announce that the new Nadaka Nature Park & Garden will be open in time for the 2015 gardening season! Located at NE 175th & Glisan (Next to St Aidans Church), there will be a Grand Opening Celebration on April 4th. People who live or work within Gresham city limits (even if the mailing address says Portland) may register for a 200 sq ft plot for only $25/ season (limit 1 per household). Six ADA-Accessible raised beds are also available to gardeners with disabilities.
