Regular Council meetings allow necessary City business to be dealt with, such as citizen recognition, citizen advisory committee reports, bid awards, resolutions, ordinances, public hearings, etc. Regular Council meetings are streamed live on the City's website. Join us for a tour of the night sky where you'll whiz through universe from the comfort of your seat! 2 shows starting at 6:00PM, 7:15PM.

The Mt. Hood Community College (MHCC) Planetarium invites you enjoy another year of great public shows using their state-of-the-art digital star projection system.

Each show is presented under a realistic representation of the night sky, featuring the latest galactic, stellar and planetary images. Visitors are encouraged to ask questions during each program. Children are welcome to attend.

Let's Hoop It Up! When: Fri Jan 08, 2016 6-10PM Where: H.B. Lee Middle School 1121 NE 172nd Av Gresham, OR Get Map!

Middle school and high school youth in grades 6-12 can attend free basketball practice, skill building and game play on Friday nights at H.B. Lee Middle School, 1121 NE 172nd Ave.

• Open to boys and girls in grades 6-12
• Learn new skills, make new friends, play basketball.
• Adult supervision and mentorship provided by the Portland Opportunities Industrialization Center (POIC).
• Sponsored by the City of Gresham.

Schedule:

• 6-8 p.m. for grades 6-8
• 8-10 p.m. for grades 9-12

Join the Christmas Bird Count When: Sat Jan 09, 2016 9AM-11AM Where: Nadaka Nature Park 17615 NE Glisan St Portland, OR Get Map!

Join the Audubon Society of Portland and Friends of Nadaka to help collect valuable data by counting birds and learn about the history of the Christmas Bird Count. This is a family friendly event for beginner and advance bird watchers. If you have your own binoculars, great! If not, we will have some for you to borrow.

Light refreshments and a review will be held in Murdock Hall at St. Aidan’s Episcopal Church after the count. Meet us at the picnic structure at 9AM. We look forward to seeing you there.

Coalition of Gresham Neighborhoods When: Tue Jan 12, 2016 7PM-8:30PM Where: Gresham City Hall Oregon Trail Room 1333 NW Eastman Pky Get Map!

Public welcome
The Coalition of Gresham Neighborhood Associations was formed to provide structure and support for the leadership of Gresham's neighborhood associations, enabling more effective cooperation among neighborhood associations in order to achieve desired outcomes. Goals of the Coalition include providing a public forum for the review and evaluation of issues and problems, providing education and information on specific areas such as land use, and providing a unified voice for the neighborhood associations.

The Coalition meets monthly on the second Tuesday at 7:00PM
