If these situations arent resolved they can grow into really troublesome problems. This free training will teach conflict resolution skills through communication. Participants will be actively engaged throughout the training with the help of experts that will provide coaching through hands on practice. Trail condition: Uneven ground with some poison oak
This will be a 3.5-mile loop in Mount Talbert Nature Park, which is a mixture of oak forest and upland prairie. There are lots of interesting plants and occasional views in different directions. At 750 feet, Mount Talbert is the largest volcanic lava dome in the area. There will be some hill climbing as we go to the top and around and then back down. There is poison oak along the trail, so be aware. Sturdy hiking shoes, poles, water, and a snack are suggested.
Bring your lunch, as we will have a picnic lunch at the picnic shelter at the trailhead.

Healthy gardening on a budget
Seed to Supper is a free, 5-week course (Feb 21-Mar 21) offered by the Oregon Food Bank and hosted by Friends of Nadaka Nature Park that teaches participants how-to garden on a budget. In this interactive class, participants gain new knowledge and skills to be able to start a garden and grow some of their own food. Participants receive free instructional booklets and seeds with the course to help them get started, as well as some hands-on practice in Nadaka's Community Garden. Topics include:
Garden site and soil development
Garden planning
Planting a garden
Caring for a growing garden
Harvesting and using garden bounty
Learn low-cost ways to build healthy soil, plan you growing space, care for your growing garden and harvest your bounty!
