Building Community - Neighbors helping neighbors

We need your participation in the next phase of the Rosewood Neighborhood Prosperity Initiative, a project with Portland Development Commission to support the emerging Rosewood business district.

Join us this Wednesday, January 25th from 3-5pm for a visioning workshop. We will discuss and outline a vision for increasing the economic competitiveness of Rosewood. It is crucial at this stage to have a diverse range of perspectives and participation. Nick Sauvie from Rose Community Development Corporation will facilitate and we will have a Spanish interpreter to assist our conversation.

We hope you can make it! This work is in conjunction with our public safety efforts and is an important part of bringing in the resources that we need for long-term improvement in the Rosewood community. Thank you for continuing to be involved in Rosewood!

Jenny Glass, The Rosewood Initiative

About Rosewood
The Rosewood Initiative is a non-profit organization launched in 2009 dedicated to making the Rosewood area a safe and desirable place to live, work, and play. To accomplish this goal, they are partnering with residents, apartment managers and owners, businesses, churches, government agencies, social services, neighborhood associations, and public safety agencies.

Rosewood is a roughly 15-block area around the intersection of NE 162nd & Burnside. The neighborhood is most commonly defined as SE 157th to SE 165th and NE Holiday to SE Alder.

Everyone who lives or works in or around the Rosewood area will benefit from the success of the Rosewood Initiative.
