The Rockwood Business Coalition (RBC) & partners invites local businesses to attend a FREE ONE DAY BUSINESS EVENT & CELEBRATION called "A Day Out of the Office - And in the Park."

Many entrepreneurs know their business inside and out, but do not understand that their geographic location may also play a role in their businesses' opportunities. The RBC invites local businesses to join us for a one day quick course on valuable information that specifically relates to businesses operating within Rockwood and the greater Gresham area. This event will be held Friday, September 28th, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Vance Park - 1300 SE 182nd Ave.
Speakers will address these topics throughout the day, and a special barbecue luncheon will be provided to all attendees at noon. Speakers will include City of Gresham Economic Development on programs available through Rockwood Urban Renewal; and State Programs available under the Enterprise Zone. The Gresham Police Department will provide information on "How to deal with Crime as a Business Owner." Julia Peterson from the Mt. Hood Community College Small Business Development Center will provide training on "Marketing Your Business."
The Rockwood Business Coalition was initiated as a Rockwood Weed and Seed project, and as of September 30th will continue with an independent board, with the Police Activities League servings as its umbrella non-profit administrator.
