Annual Earth Day Event. Bring your recyclables. Rain or Shine!
Clean up your world
Bring your recyclable items for collection to Gresham City Hall on Saturday, April 23, from 9AM to 2PM. This recycling event is free to Gresham and Wood Village residents and will be held in the Gresham City Hall parking lots, 1333 NW Eastman Pky. Rain or shine!
Below is a list of this years acceptable items. Click each link for details about what qualifies.
Collection Items
Electronics and Batteries
We are not accepting electronics or batteries at the Earth Day event. There are options for recycling these items.
TVs, computers and monitors can be recycled for free year-round at two recycling sites in Gresham.
Most household batteries are too small to be collected with other recyclables in the blue cart. These recyclables go through a sorting process at a material recovery facility, where batteries would get lost.
You do not have to put batteries in the trash. Metro has two household hazardous waste facilities open six days a week for drop-off, and Metro also holds household hazardous waste collection events all over the tri-county area. For more information visit Metro's web page on recycling or their Find a Recycler page.
