Participants & "Participant Wanna Be's"
Grab your kids, grandkids, neighbors and friends and come out to march (OK, walk or ride in the car) in the Teddy Bear Parade with us to raise awareness of our Neighborhood Associations!!
Please respond ASAP!
All those wanting to be in the parade need to let me know by Friday 5PM September 25th please. We’d prefer to have a head count before that day, but as long as you can reach me by 5PM it will help us. Everyone that plans on being in the parade needs to be aware they will need to be at the East Hill Church Parking Lot no later than 9AM on Saturday, September 26.
Also, anyone needing Teddy Bears to carry just let me know. The Fire Dept may have some left they can provide for you.
Background
Originated 27 years ago, the Soroptimists started the Teddy Bear parade to celebrate the “child in all of us” and create a tradition that helped Gresham’s “quaint and special downtown area” to thrive. In addition to the parade, the Soroptimists organize fundraisers throughout the year to raise money for scholarships for deserving women and girls.
