Greetings Gresham Parks Volunteers!
Gresham Parks & Recreation's winter events newsletter will be out Dec. 1st with plenty of volunteer events, but right now we could use your help at Butler Creek Greenway!
Butler Creek Trail Planting
Volunteers are needed to join City staff on Saturday, Nov 15th from 9:00AM-2:00PM to help renaturalize the Butler Creek Greenway. Help us by planting hundreds of trees, shrubs, and other native plants where there were once only invasive weeds. Aside from planting, this project will include weeding the site, removing regrown English Ivy and mulching the plantings.
Volunteers should meet at the corner of SW Angeline Ave & SW Willow Pkwy (see map link above). On street parking is available. Snacks and refreshments will be provided. Please bring a water bottle and tumbler/travel mug. Be prepared for rain, to get a little dirty, and to have fun!
Thank you for taking your time to volunteer and happy holidays!
