The elevation gain is gradual in some places and steep in others. After our hike, we will drive another 4 miles down the road to view the basalt rosette in the cliffs along the river. After the viewing, we will head back into the town of Molalla and have lunch at the new Lumberjacks Bar and Grill.
Hiking boots are recommended. Bring an energy snack and water for the trail.
