Join us on another great Ten Toe Express walk throughout inner-city Portland sponsored by the Portland Bureau of Transportation. The Ten Toe Express program is a series of guided walks held Thursdays @ 6PM and Saturdays @ 9AM from May 07th through September 19th 2015.
Each easy and informal Ten Toe Express walk explores the area neighborhood, architecture and unique history. Walk takes about 2 hours, cover 2-4 miles and are open to all ages and skill levels. Did we mention it's free!

1. Historic Piedmont & Woodlawn
Enjoy a walk led by the Architectural Heritage Center as we hear about the history and see the sights of the Woodlawn neighborhood and Peninsula Park in the adjacent Piedmont neighborhood.

2. Historic Brooklyn & Rail Yards
Explore the new pedestrian improvements and public art along the new Milwaukie Light Rail and history of the Brooklyn neighborhood.

3. Gateway Plaza to Gateway Green
Check out the Gateway Green open space area between I-84 and I-205 and hear about the history of the wonderful little City of Maywood Park as we loop through a few of its streets.

4. Overlook-Mississippi-Williams Loop
Stroll through a few great neighborhoods undergoing changes as we see and hear about new parks, developments and a recent transportation safety project.

5. Ped Palooza Cat Walk
Our first event to join in the fun of Pedalpalooza where you can dress for the “Cat Walk”, or dress like a cat, or bring a cat, counts cats, etc. You get the idea? Prize(s) for best interpretation of the theme.

6. Slabtown
Join a tour by author Laura Foster highlighting the local history of the Slabtown area and showcasing its renaissance mix of new light industrial and residential uses.

7. Hillsdale to the River
Hike a challenging route through George Himes and Willamette Parks on trails, sidewalks and hidden stairways along SW Trail #4.

8. Westmoreland Park to Crystal Springs and Reed Canyon
Discover the beautiful Rhododendron Gardens and hidden Reed Canyon with great examples of salmon habitat restoration along Crystal Springs Creek.

9. Tilikum Bridge Loop
Celebrate the Tilikum Crossing bridge one week after its grand opening by joining this walk to the South Waterfront and a free aerial Tram ride for another view of this new Portland landmark.
