Let's Go Walking!When: Tue Jul 29, 2014 8AM-5PM |
This is a three-mile round-trip hike that starts within a single, isolated square mile of ancient forest located just 20 miles east of Estacada off Highway 224. The result of a long-vanished glacier, this “cirque’s” steep walls make it seem as though the big woods extend forever. Several varieties of wildflowers blanket the forest floor. We will stop at the Cazadero Inn restaurant for lunch, so bring along a snack and water. Hiking boots are recommended.
- Round-trip travel: 82 miles
- Difficulty: Easy/moderate
- Elevation gain: 700 feet
- Suggested donation per hiker: $8
