Kids! Get Ready to SKIP Into Summer
Free fun and food: The City kicks off Summer Kids in the Park (SKIP), an eight-week Gresham parks and recreation program with lunch for all youth 18 or younger, provided by the Boys & Girls Clubs. Runs M-F, June 23-Aug. 15. Read more  Top

Rock the Block for One and All
We are excited to be a part of Rock the Block on Plaza del Sol in Rockwood on June 27-28. Rock the Block is the second annual celebration of Rockwood with festive food, music and dance, basketball and soccer, a kids parade and ways to connect with community resources – from bus passes to art classes. Tour Tsuru Island at Japanese Festival
Celebrate the reopening of the Gresham Japanese Garden, Tsuru (Crane) Island, at Skosh ("a little") Japanese Festival, 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Saturday, June 28, at Main City Park. Experience a tea ceremony, cooking demonstrations, bonsai, origami, garden tours, plant sale. Read more  Top

CAL Student Video Teaches Safe Crossing
School's out and kids are hitting the streets, parks and playgrounds. To keep them safe, the City has improved several crosswalks and shares this short video, produced by digital media students at CAL, which teaches "Push, Look, Walk and Be Safe. Watch the video  Top

'Can You ID Me?'
Gresham Police have developed a ‘Can You ID Me?’ webpage featuring pictures of suspects, witnesses and people of interest whom police have captured on video surveillance – but don’t know their identities. Information can be submitted anonymously. Read more  Top

A Doggone Good Time at the Park
Now you and your pooch can enjoy a frolic at Main City Park's new off-leash area just south of the Coho picnic shelter. If you and Fido head out to play, be sure to follow the posted rules and help us make this test area a safe and tail-wagging success. Read more  Top

Boogie Woogie to Musicalu Concerts
Musicalu, the City's free summer music series on the Arts Plaza features the best of the Northwest "kindie" music scene. The first concert is Red Yarn from 11 a.m. to noon Saturday, July 12. Rain or shine, it's time to boogie down. Read more  Top
