The City, in partnership with the Boys & Girls Clubs of Portland, is putting a hop and a SKIP into summertime with Summer Kids in the Park, an eight-week program for youth 18 and younger. Boys & Girls Clubs staff will lead a combination of physical and non-physical activities (arts and crafts, field games, etc.).

There is no cost to participate in the SKIP summer recreation program, and advance registration is not required.
Schedule and Locations
- Vance Park, 1400 S.E. 182nd Ave.
Monday through Friday, 10 a.m. - 12 p.m.
Lunch served from 11:30 a.m. - 12 p.m. - Main City Park, 219 S. Main Ave.
Monday through Friday, 12 - 2 p.m.
Lunch served from 12 - 12:30 p.m. - Red Sunset Park, 2403 N.E. Red Sunset Drive
Monday through Friday, 12:30 - 2:30 p.m.
Lunch served from 1 - 1:30 p.m.
Parents and guardians should plan to stay at the park while the youth are participating. SKIP is not mean for little ones to be left without parental or guardian supervision. Older children may attend on their own, however, if parents/guardians deem it appropriate for their child.
