New Drop Box: Safely Dispose Prescription Meds
Now Gresham citizens can anonymously dispose of unused, expired or unwanted prescription drugs in the slotted door at the Gresham Police headquarters at City Hall. Officers will check the box daily and dispose of drugs in accordance with federal and state laws. Read more
Arbor Day Tree Tag Campaign
During the City’s Arbor Day activities in April, watch for tagged trees throughout the city to educate passers-by about the value of urban trees. The trees will be tagged with the dollar amount it gives back to the community in benefits over the next 15 years. Read more
Become a Weed Watcher: Apr 16
Himalayan blackberry is one of the bad guys. Learn about common and not-so-common non-native plans in Gresham and how you can help prevent them from spreading at a "Become a Weed Watcher" class from 7 to 9:30 p.m. Tuesday, April 16, at City Hall. Read more
Free Earth Day Recycling Event: Apr 20
Begin saving your recyclable items and bring them to Gresham City Hall between 9 a.m. and 2 p.m. on Saturday, April 20. City staff will accept hard, block Styrofoam; rigid plastics; fluorescent tubes and lights; batteries; cell phones; and paper for shredding. Read more
Seniors Need Rides, You Can Help
Many seniors in the community have no transportation and cannot get to appointments. Volunteers can make the difference by simply being willing to provide a ride. Metropolitan Family Services’ Project Linkage does all the coordinating and reimburses for mileage. Read more
