27th Annual Tuba Christmas Concert Sat Dec 09, 2016 1:30-3PM, Pioneer Courthouse Square. Downtown will pulse with the melodic sounds of big brass as over 250 tubas play in unison for the 27th Annual Tuba Christmas Concert in the heart of downtown. FREE! [Top]

Alpenrose Storybook Lane Weekends, Dec 1-Dec 17, Fri 3-6PM, Sat-Sun 11AM-6PM, 6149 SW Shattuck. A family tradition for more than fifty years. Lights on Peacock Lane Nightly, Dec 15-Dec 31 6PM-11PM, SE 40th & Stark. Since the 1920s, each house on Peacock Lane has been decorating for Christmas. Tudors style houses are adorned with sparkling lights, nativity scenes, rotating Christmas trees plus Santa, Frosty and the gang. FREE! [Top]

Join the Celebration & Sing-A-Long!
The day after Thanksgiving, thousands of Portlanders will gather at the Square to celebrate the lighting of the spectacular 75ft Tree provided by Stimson Lumber Company. This beloved community tradition will feature a holiday sing-a-long with Thomas Lauderdale and members of Pink Martini, the NW Community Gospel Choir, The Pacific Youth Choir and friends! With a big tree, over 14,000 colorful lights and Portland’s largest community sing-a-long this is an event you won’t want to miss! See last year’s ceremony here! Download a copy of last year’s songbook here!. Arrive early for best viewing. Strobe lights will be used during the event.

Tree Lighting, Songs & More When: Sat, Nov 26, 2016 5PM-6:30PM Where: Arts Plaza 401 NE Second Street Get Map!

The 25th Annual Spirit of Christmas tree lighting one of the communitys most popular events rings in Greshams holiday season with a family-friendly program that includes music, photos with Santa, refreshments and the lighting of the 60-foot Ponderosa pine on the Arts Plaza.

This free, jolly holiday event is on Saturday, Nov. 28, from 5:00 - 6:30 pm.

The Gresham Farmers Market takes place from 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. every Saturday from May to October. Held in downtown Gresham at NW 3rd Street and NW Miller Avenue, the market offers shoppers fresh, local produce, meats, cheeses, flowers, crafts, great food and live music.

See the Night Sky When: Tue, Oct 04, 2016 6PM-8:15PM Where: MHCC Planetarium Sky Theater 26000 SE Stark Street Get Map!

Two shows: at 6:00 pm and 7:15 pm

Admission is only $5. MHCC students (with valid ID) and children 17 and under are $2.

All shows are presented under a realistic representation of the night sky, featuring the latest galactic, stellar and planetary images.

The Sky Theater is wheelchair-accessible.
