Defining How Renewable Energy Should be Allowed
The City of Gresham would like your help in determining where and how renewable energy technology should be allowed in Gresham. Renewable energy includes solar power, wind turbines, biomass energy and geothermal energy.
You are invited to this community forum to review draft goals and policies that will provide direction for the project and for Gresham’s renewable energy future
The draft goals and policies are available on the project website here. The City renewable energy project website can be found here.
This meeting is part of the Renewable Energy component of the Development Code Improvement Project, which is on the Council Work Plan.
The project will:
- Update the City’s Community Development Plan goals and policies regarding renewable energy.
- Update standards and create a clear review process for renewable energy projects.
- Encourage renewable energy development in locations where adverse environmental, economic and social impacts can be avoided or mitigated.
