Plan to Attend

The Rockwood Neighborhood Association will hold their next regular meeting Tuesday, March 22nd from 7-9PM at the Rockwood Station Apartments Community Center. The public is invited to attend.

Following the conduct of business, they will have two presentations that should occupy the balance of the evening.

Presentations

  • Rosewood Initiative
The first presentation will be by the Gresham Police Department officer spearheading the Rosewood Initiative, a project designed to address issues related to public safety concerns at and around the MAX stop at 162nd and Burnside, our first "gateway to Rockwood" light rail stop.
See "Rosewood Initiative seeks to build community pride" link below, especially the readers comments on page two for a look into the problems facing this area on the border of Gresham and Portland. Ed
  • Community Health Providers
The second presentation will be by a panel of community health providers
describing the services of each of their clinics: the new Multnomah County Community Health Clinic on SE 182nd and its plans for expansion; and Wallace Medical Concern, soon to be located at the Human Solutions Rockwood Center building currently under construction at Couch and NE 181st. Dr. Bob Sayson, Medical Director of the Good News Clinic across from the Rockwood branch of the Multnomah County Library will also share news of his clinic's services and future expansion.

Please consider attending, and tell your neighbors about this meeting too.
