We invite parents and children ages 3-5 to enjoy a short story and a guided nature hike. Watch birds fly overhead, search for hidden animal homes, and learn about local trees and flowers. The event runs rain or shine so pull on those boots and join us! There is a $3 suggested donation per child, no charge for adults. Meet us at the picnic structure. CORRECTION:
Our story of 64-Unit, 4-story Waterside Apartment Homes Complex Proposed for 165th & NE Halsey incorrectly reported the property location. It is the heavily treed property with a 1930's farmhouse on the north side of Halsey, directly east of the Moose Lodge. The north 1/4 of the site will be left as open space. Come, Lend A Hand...

Join Friends of Nadaka to restore a healthy habitat at Nadaka Nature Park. We will be removing invasive species such as English Ivy from the 10 acre forested portion of the park, watering plants, and removing litter.

Tools, gloves, and light refreshments will be provided.

Dress to work in natural areas: long pants, brimmed hat, and closed-toe sturdy shoes.

Please bring a water bottle and a friend!

Rain or Shine Event

Let's Celebrate!
Join us for the official opening of Gresham's newest natural play area and community garden on the south two acres of Nadaka Nature Park. The Audubon Society of Portland’s Education Birds will be present and teaming up with Slough School to provide environmental education. Nature play expert from ONPLAY will be demonstrating the possibilities the nature play area can provide. Public officials and project partners will be there to say a few words about Nadaka.

The event will feature free information, demonstrations and refreshments.

Friends of Nadaka have received grants for the development of the Nadaka Nature Park which requires matching volunteer hours so your support is needed and greatly appreciated. See you at the park!

Come out and meet your neighbors and make new friends. Join SOLV® and Friends of Nadaka to help improve the park this Earth Day. Activities include: Invasive Plant Removal, Mulching Trails, Trash Removal and possibly work in Community Garden. Be prepared to get a little dirty and to have fun by supporting and volunteering with Friends of Nadaka and Wilkes East Neighborhood Association. Refreshments will be provided for volunteers.
