A delightful 1874 Victorian farmhouse
Take a step back into history at the Zimmerman House, a Victorian era farmhouse, built in 1874 and listed on the National Register of Historic Places. This beautiful farmhouse is a perfect reflection of typical Columbia River dairy farm life in the late 1800s. The Zimmerman Heritage Farm is a unique cultural education and recreational resource that is being created for the benefit of the public on a 5.98-acre historic site in Gresham, Oregon.

Gresham’s Center for the Arts Foundation is pleased to present the six annual Music Mondays concert series. The series is presented on Monday evenings during July and August, and is supported by the City of Gresham Arts & Culture Grants and the Oregon Cultural Trust through the Multnomah County Arts Coalition. All Music Mondays concerts are free.

Attendees are encouraged to bring chairs or blankets and a picnic to enjoy a summer evening of live music.

From time to time we all find challenges with a neighbor. If these situations aren't resolved they can grow into really troublesome problems. This free workshop will introduce tools for working through difficulties with a neighbor. Participants will be actively engaged throughout the training with the help of experts, who will be on hand to provide coaching through hands-on experience.

Explore an Ancient Forrest

This is a 6.2-mile hike in old growth forest along Multnomah Creek, which is the headwater of Multnomah Falls. We will hike around the crater in a forest of Western Hemlock and Douglas Fir. Some of the trees are as old as 400 years.

  • Round-trip travel: 50 miles
  • Difficulty: Moderate/difficult
  • Elevation gain: 1,200 feet
  • Suggested donation per hiker: $6
  • Hiking boots and hiking poles are recommended. Footing may be a little slippery in places. Bring a lunch. We’ll eat at the picnic tables at the top before we start our descent back to the cars.

Join us on another great Ten Toe Express walk throughout inner-city Portland sponsored by the Portland Bureau of Transportation. The Ten Toe Express program is a series of guided walks held Thursdays @ 6PM and Saturdays @ 9AM from May 07th through September 19th 2015.

Each easy and informal Ten Toe Express walk explores the area neighborhood, architecture and unique history. Walk takes about 2 hours, cover 2-4 miles and are open to all ages and skill levels. Did we mention it's free!

This year, Skosh IV will add a special celebration – Fukkatsu (rebirth) of the Gresham Japanese Garden, Tsuru Island. Like the rising of the phoenix, our four-year project to restore the garden is ready for guests.

The event will feature:

  • Informative guided tours of Tsuru Island
  • Bonsai exhibition and Ikebana demonstrations
