Join us on another great Ten Toe Express walk throughout inner-city Portland sponsored by the Portland Bureau of Transportation. The Ten Toe Express program is a series of guided walks held Thursdays @ 6PM and Saturdays @ 9AM from May 9th through September 21st 2013.

Each easy and informal Ten Toe Express walk explores the area neighborhood, architecture and unique history. Walk takes about 2 hours, cover 2-4 miles and are open to all ages and skill levels. Did we mention it's free!

1) Central Streetcar and Esplanade Loop
2 hours, 2 miles
Thurs, May 9 ~ 6 pm
Sat, June 15 ~ 9 am
Meet at Oregon Convention Center, NE Oregon St. and MLK Blvd.
Enjoy a free ride on the new Central Loop streetcar line to OMSI and then walk back via the Eastside Esplanade.

2) Historic King's Hill and Vista Loop
2 hours, 3.7 miles

Meet at SE corner of SW 18th Ave. and Salmon St.
Discover some of Portland’s amazing older homes on a historical tour of this steep hillside neighborhood in inner SW Portland. Tour leader: Laura Foster

Get ready to climb a lot of stairs and hills as we explore unusual connections from the Goose Hollow neighborhood to Portland Heights and enjoy beautiful views along the way.

5) South Waterfront and Hooley Bridge Loop

Meet at Lower Tram station, SW Gibbs St. and Moody Ave.
Loop through the quickly changing South Waterfront District and see and hear about the new buildings, bridges and streets reshaping the landscape.

Meet at Lair Hill Market Cafe, SW 1st Ave. and Meade St.
Walk from Lair Hill, one of Portland’s oldest neighborhoods, to the South Auditorium District and hear about the area’s rich cultural history and the changes that urban renewal brought in the 1960s. Tour leader: Arnie Panitch

7) Ladd's Addition and Colonial Heights

Meet at Architectural Heritage Center, 701 SE Grand Ave.
Explore the once central business district of the City of East Portland. Zigzag through this commercial and industrial neighborhood and into the Produce Row area, Portland’s longtime hub for food related industry.
