Public is Invited
Thank you to everyone who participated in the recruitment process for Gresham’s next City Manager. City Council met in Executive Session this week to discuss the next steps. Out of 64 total candidates, City Council narrowed the search to three finalists. However, two of the three withdrew from the process. Given this news, City Council re-evaluated their options and elected to close the current search process. When the recruitment was originally opened, no internal candidates applied for the position. City Council approached former Interim City Manager Eric Schmidt to ask if he would reconsider applying for the job; Mr. Schmidt agreed to participate in an interview.
The community can participate in this interview in the following ways:

  • Community forum: On Tuesday, Jan. 26, from 5:30-6:15 p.m., the community is invited to listen to the interview with City Manager candidate Eric Schmidt, facilitated by Mayor Stovall. Join the Zoom meeting here:
