Join the work party and help us weed, plant flowers and create safe habitat for pollinators. The Water Resources Division is preparing a Pollinator Peace garden for spring education talks on pollinators.Rain or shine

  • Bring your gardening gloves.
  • Bring a snack and water bottle.
  • Refreshments and tools provided.

The garden is the fenced area, located near the futsal court. If you are interested in volunteering our would like additional information, please contact Keri.Handaly@GreshamOregon.gov.

A delightful 1874 Victorian farmhouse
Take a step back into history at the Zimmerman House, a Victorian era farmhouse, built in 1874 and listed on the National Register of Historic Places. This beautiful farmhouse is a perfect reflection of typical Columbia River dairy farm life in the late 1800s. The Zimmerman Heritage Farm is a unique cultural education and recreational resource that is being created for the benefit of the public on a 5.98-acre historic site in Gresham, Oregon.

Did you notice you only see Turkey Vultures in the metropolitan area in the spring and summer? Thats because they migrate to warmer climates in the winter, but its time to welcome them back.Welcome Back Vulture Day is filled with fun and educational activities:

  • Compare your wingspan to that of a California Condor
  • Make a crafted vulture and mask
  • Play Upchuck Chuck!
  • Learn fun vulture facts
  • Find out the differences between Old and New World vultures
  • Discover why vultures are important

Were lucky to still have good populations of Turkey Vultures in Oregon. Around the world vultures are facing hazards in the wild and their numbers are dwindling.
