at Butler Creek Invasive Removal Project

Hold it weeds! It's time to go! Volunteer to help restore Butler Creek's native landscape by volunteering at this upcoming restoration event. Volunteers will be removing ivy, holly, and blackberry from a section of the Butler Creek Trail to help ensure the preservation of future native species in Butler Creek Greenway.

HB Lee students adopt Nadaka Park; you should too!
The City of Gresham Parks & Recreation will be working with our HB Lee Middle School students this Thursday and Friday from 9:00 am - 12:30 pm at Nadaka Park. They will be doing some invasive plant removal and general cleanup.
We hope you can join them for one or two hours or anytime you might have to improve Nadaka Park. Just give Rachel Zarfas a call at (503) 618-2789 or email Rachel.Zarfas@ci.gresham.or.us to let her know. The students at HB Lee Middle School have adopted Nadaka Park and you should too.
Your Wilkes East Neighborhood Association has applied for a grant to make improvements at Nadaka Park and as part of that grant application the residents of our community must make a volunteer contribution

Johnson Creek Watershed Council's 3rd Annual Meeting luncheon will take place on the beautiful Reed College campus once again. Our special guest will be Bill Bradbury, Oregon's Secretary of State. The luncheon will include the release of our first State of the Watershed Report, presenting information from a wide array of sources on many aspects of watershed health

Yamhill Community Garden Workshop: Composting

What is the importance of compost and how do you make it? This informational workshop will cover the benefits of composting for your home or community garden and how do to it. (English/Spanish presentation.) Volunteers are needed to help set up, children's activities, and take down.

Let's Get Dirty At The Zimmerman House!

Take a step back into history by volunteering at the Zimmermann House. This 1874 farmhouse is a perfect reflection of typical Columbia River dairy farm life in the late 1800s. Volunteers are needed to weed and prune in the garden, which will contribute to the historical site's overall beauty.
